Welcome to JChem Design. 
Founded in 2005, JCD is an chemical engineering consultancy run by Ian Jeffery, based in the North East of England, and offers consultancy in process evaluation and development, process design and in process modelling, based on over 35 years of experience in process design and R&D in the chemical industry.
JCD can help you evaluate or develop new or existing processes, model and understand the design and performance of your plant, and help you evaluate options for process routes, energy efficiency and effluent treatment. A brief summary of the main areas of expertise and a brief CV can be found here.

In the future, we plan for our website to also provide a number of resource pages, most of these relating to aspects of chemical engineering where JCD has experience, and so should help illustrate the type of chemical engineering problems where JCD can provide assistance. These pages are currently under construction, but we hope to have them up and running in the near future
We are also aiming to provide some simple overviews on a number of petrochemical processes, with basic operating data guides.
As part of our overall services package we are also developing our website to enable us to offer some software that has been produced in-house, and will be either free to download or available at a low cost. The creation of specialized design and modelling software is an area where JCD has considerable experience. Please contact us if you have a potential application - we may be able to help.
