DEFRA - Assessing Biomass To Chemicals (ABC) Project :

 Provision of key process data to the project, via the evaluation of a range of chemical processes, including production of propylene glycol, ammonia, butanol and acetone, fermentation of synthesis gas to ethanol, anaerobic digestion of biomass and others. 

Power Recovery from Low Grade Heat - Design of Organic Rankine Cycle Plant :

Option evaluation and process design for a 100-200 kW Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) demonstration unit, the project being partly funded by the Carbon Trust in the UK.

Value Chain from Natural Gas:

A major process contractor required an independent assessment of the potential value chain for converting NG to chemicals production as an alternative to LNG production. 

Model Of Product Heating in a Furnace:

A dynamic model was created for the heating of a bed of material within a furnace, to support full scale manufacturing trials of a modified product. 

Gas Plant Energy Review: 

The objectives of the study were to review progress on the recommendations of an earlier Energy Assessment Report, and to undertake an independent review of the terminal operation with a view to identifying potential additional energy efficiency options
